Lunar Digital and Stockport County are pleased to announce that Lunar are the club’s official back-of-shirt sponsor for the remainder of the 2025-26 campaign.
The partnership brings together two ambitious Northwest-based organisations that share a commitment to innovation, resilience, and long-term community investment.
Lunar Digital is a leading UK data centre operator based in Hulme, providing colocation and HPC & AI hosting solutions built on half a century of combined industry expertise.
With a reputation for resilient and highly secure data centre facilities, Lunar Digital prides itself on strong customer relationships, agility in a fast-moving sector, and in-house engineering that ensures the highest level of service and reliability.
Their facilities provide carrier-neutral connectivity and peace of mind for businesses requiring high-capacity digital infrastructure.
The partnership also carries a deeply personal connection to Stockport County’s history. Lunar Digital’s Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer, Mark Sedgley, is not only a lifelong County supporter but also the grandson-in-law of former Club
President Dave Hunt - a figure whose leadership at Edgeley Park in the late 1980s helped steer the club through one of the most precarious chapters in its existence.
Lunar Digital Co-Founder and CCO Mark Sedgley said:
"As someone with deep ties to Stockport and to County, this partnership means more than just seeing our name on the back of the shirt. My wife’s grandad, Dave Hunt, played a major role in keeping this club alive during an incredibly difficult period. To be able to support County today, in a moment of such optimism and progress, feels like a fitting way to honour his legacy."
Stockport County’s Commercial Sales Director, Ryan Green added:
"We are thrilled to welcome Lunar Digital to the club. Their commitment to innovation mirrors our own ambitions on and off the field, and the personal connection to Dave Hunt brings a meaningful layer to the partnership. Dave was instrumental in laying the foundations for the club’s growth, and we are proud to celebrate that history as we look to the future."
