At the heart of our corporate responsibility is a committment to a climate strategy that is not only carbon neutral but climate positive. We get one planet, so let’s treat it with respect and hand it over to the next generation in a better state than we inherited it. Lunar Digital take their ESG (Environmental and Social Governance) commitments very seriously.
Major IT companies are taking responsibility for the energy impacts of data centres through energy efficient design. However, the average data centre is now over 20 years old and many are inefficiently designed. Staying at the forefront of energy efficiency is the only way to keep costs down while maintaining reliability. Through our commitment to increasing sustainability and lowering the environmental impact at our data centres we have invested heavily in the facilities to realise significant energy savings and keep colocation costs low for our clients.
Climate positivity indicates that we not only operate on a net carbon-neutral basis, but we create an environmental benefit by removing additional carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. We do this through our tree plantations in Devon and solar initiatives we are currently planning. Through the Lunar Aid Foundation, Lunar Digital are committed to helping the local economy through employment and local initiatives including providing assistance to low-income families struggling during the current economic climate and cost of living crisis.

We are focused on accelerating server energy efficiency, lowering data center total cost of ownership (TCO) and delivering high-performance computing hosting (HPC) to help tackle some of the world’s toughest challenges.
The Lunar Aid Foundation is also providing assistance to Ukraine through the transportation of time-sensitive emergency medical equipment through our air transportation network.

The future…
Lunar Digital took the decision that it was no longer acceptable to put profit before plant and so we are advocates and early adopters of reducing our impact on our environment. We understand and appreciate the practise of sustainability when operating our Data Centres and building cloud workloads. We also focus on understanding impacts through the entire workload lifecycle and in turn applying key design principles and best practises to reduce our impact.
